There are many important issues that can arise in connection to a divorce. One such issue is child custody. This can be seen in a celebrity divorce case that has recently arisen.

The case involves the actress Mayim Bialik. Bialik starred in the television show "Blossom" and currently plays the role of Amy on the television program "The Big Bang Theory." It has recently been reported that Bialik and her husband are getting divorced.

Bialik and her husband got married in 2003. According to an article on TMZ's website, late last month, Bialik filed a petition for a divorce. Reportedly, Bialik cited irreconcilable differences in this divorce petition. This divorce filing was made in a court in California.

Bialik and her husband have two children (a 7-year-old son and a 4-year-old son). It has been reported that Bialik has made a request regarding the custody of the two children in her divorce petition. Specifically, Bialik reportedly has requested that she be granted joint physical and legal custody of the children. The TMZ article mentioned above did not mention if it is yet known if Bialik's husband is expected to agree to a joint custody arrangement or ask for a different custody arrangement. It will be interesting to see what ultimately happens in this case.

As this case illustrates, child custody issues sometimes arise in relation to a divorce. How child custody issues are ultimately resolved can be very impactful. Thus, when it comes to child custody matters, having a strong advocate on one's side can be important.
