Sometimes, child custody issues arise between divorced or separated parents. Such issues can involve a wide variety of important and impactful matters. Sometimes, parents resolve child custody issues through agreements. Other times, such issues lead to disputes between parents which end up having to be resolved by a court.

Recently, a judge reached a decision in a celebrity child custody dispute. The dispute in question was between the actress Halle Berry and her ex-boyfriend.

The former couple has one child. Multiple child custody disputes have arisen between Berry and her ex-boyfriend since they split.

One of these disputes regarded where the child will live. Berry made a request to a court asking that she and the child be allowed to move to France. Berry's ex-boyfriend opposed this request.

Berry claimed that France would be a safer environment for the child, as it has stricter rules regarding paparazzi and privacy. Berry's ex-boyfriend, on the other hand, alleged that the proposed move was aimed at creating greater separation between him and the child.

Last week, the judge in this case made a decision in regards to Berry's request. The judge denied her request. The article on the New York Daily News' website which reported this story did not have any details regarding what the judge's reasons were for denying the request.

One wonders if any further disputes will arise between Berry and her ex-boyfriend regarding where their child will live, and if they do, how such child custody disputes will be resolved.
