Sometimes, a married couple will decide to end their marriage. Many important and complicated issues can arise in connection to a divorce. How such issues are resolved can be very impactful on both of the parties to a divorce.

Recently, some divorce news has arisen regarding the popular race car driver Danica Patrick. Patrick raced in IndyCar for several years and now races in NASCAR. This season (her first full NASCAR season), Patrick had the highest overall points finish (10th in the Nationwide Series) that a female driver has ever recorded in a NASCAR national series and was voted the Nationwide Series' most popular driver.

It has recently been reported that Patrick and her husband are getting divorced.

Patrick and her husband got married in 2005. Last week, Patrick announced that she and her husband were divorcing. According to the article on ESPN's website which reported this story, Patrick made this announcement on Facebook. She said the following about her husband in this announcement: "He has been an important person and friend in my life and that's how we will remain moving forward."

As we mentioned above, many impactful issues can arise in connection to a divorce. A couple issues that can arise are how property will be divided between the divorcing parties and whether either of the parties will receive spousal support. One wonders if any issues regarding spousal support or property division will arise in the divorce of Patrick and her husband and, if they do, how Patrick and her husband resolve such issues.
