Sometimes, a married couple will decide to bring their marriage to an end. There are many complicated and important issues that can arise in connection to a divorce. How such issues are resolved can have major impacts on both of the parties to a divorce.
Recently, some celebrity divorce news has arisen. The news regards the actress Melanie Lynskey and the actor Jimmi Simpson. Lynskey has played roles in several films and television programs, including the role of Rose on the television program "Two and a Half Men." Simpson has also been in several movies and television programs, including the television program "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." It has recently been reported that Lynskey and Simpson are getting divorced.
Lynskey and Simpson got married in April 2007. In April of this year, the couple separated. Late last month, Lynskey filed a petition for a divorce. The petition was filed in a court in California. Reportedly, irreconcilable differences were cited in this divorce filing.
The couple does not have any children. Thus, child custody and child support are not issues in this divorce.
It also appears that spousal support will not be an issue in this divorce, as the right to support has reportedly been waived by both Lynskey and Simpson.
Another important issue that can sometimes arise in connection to a divorce is property division. It will be interesting to see if any issues regarding property division arise in the divorce between Lynskey and Simpson, and, if they do, how such issues are ultimately resolved.
