Sometimes, issues regarding child support will arise between parents. This can be seen in a recent development in a child custody battle that we have discussed previously on this blog.

The child custody battle in question is the custody battle between Halle Berry and her ex-boyfriend. Berry and her ex-boyfriend have one daughter and have been involved in multiple legal disputes over the custody of this child.

According to an article on TMZ's website, Berry's ex-boyfriend has recently made a request related to child support. Specifically, Berry's ex-boyfriend is asking that Berry pay him $20,000 a month in child support. Reportedly, Berry's ex-boyfriend argues that such payments are necessary if he is going to be able to provide a proper environment for the former couple's daughter when he is caring for her.

According to the TMZ article mentioned above, court proceedings regarding this request have, for the moment, been postponed. Reportedly, this postponement is due to paperwork problems regarding the request.

One wonders when the proceedings will resume and, when they do, what decision the judge in this case will ultimately make in regards to the above-mentioned child support request. One also wonders if any other child support-related issues will arise in the custody battle between Berry and her ex-boyfriend.

As this case illustrates, child support issues can sometimes arise between parents. How such issues are resolved can have significant impacts of all of the parties involved. Thus, when such issues arise, having a strong advocate on one's side can be very important.
