Some celebrity divorce news has recently arisen. The news regards actress Parminder Nagra. Nagra, 36, has played roles in several movies and TV shows, including the movie "Bend It Like Beckham" and the TV series "ER." Nagra currently plays a role in the new TV series "Alcatraz." It has recently been reported that Nagra is getting divorced from her husband.

Nagra and her husband got married in 2009. Reportedly, last Wednesday, Nagra filed for a divorce. This divorce petition was reportedly filed in a court in California. It has been reported that Nagra cited irreconcilable differences in this divorce petition.

Many important issues can arise in connection to the divorce of a couple. As we have mentioned before on this blog, one of the issues that can arise in connection to a divorce is child custody. How child custody issues are ultimately resolved can have major effects on the parties to a divorce and their children.

Nagra and her husband have one child. Reportedly, in her divorce petition, Nagra has made a request regarding the custody of this child. Specifically, Nagra has reportedly asked that she be granted full physical custody of the child and that her husband be given visitation rights.

One wonders whether any legal disputes will arise between Nagra and her husband regarding her request for full physical custody of their child and, if disputes do arise, whether such disputes will be resolved through an agreement between the parties or if a court will end up having to resolve the disputes.
